Comparing audits

Using the compare view to see what changed week over week.

Last updated April 18, 2026

Why comparison matters

A single audit is a snapshot. The compare view is where the work product lives — what changed since last time, what shipped, and whether it moved the needle.

Opening the compare view

From Audits, pick any two audits and click Compare. The view shows:

  • Score delta on each dimension.
  • Newly cited pages, and pages that dropped out of citations.
  • New competitors that appeared, and competitors you overtook.
  • Prompt-rank diffs: where you moved up or down.

Reading the diff

Green means improvement; red means regression. Hover any row for a one-line "what likely caused this" explanation.

Common patterns

  • Structure up, Clarity flat: you shipped schema but the copy hasn't been rewritten. Address the writing next.
  • Prompt presence up but Coverage flat: you're winning the prompts you cover. Add more pages on adjacent prompts to compound the gain.
  • Discoverability dropped: check your sitemap and robots.txt — something likely changed in your CMS.
